Memphis, Tennessee – Campaign for School Equity’s executive director Mendell Grinter released the following statement in response to Governor Bill Lee’s State of the State address.
“In order to fulfill our promise of quality education to our state’s students, Tennessee must continue on its path towards improving equity and expanding access to quality education for all our students.
Campaign for School Equity applauds Governor Lee for his bold proposals that will fully fund our Basic Education Program (BEP), increase teacher pay, expand access to CTE, provide access to quality charter school facilities, and ensure we’re doing more to support our students most in need.
We look forward to working together with his administration as we continue to support all efforts to improve education for Tennessee students.”
